Weekly Wrap-Up ~ 5/17-5/23/26

After doing monthly wrap-ups in 2025, I decided to go back to weekly wrap-ups for 2026. I’ll be linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer, and Sunday Salon hosted by Readerbuzz. I’ll also be linking up with Stacking the Shelves hosted by Reading Reality, and with It’s Monday, What Are Your Reading? hosted by The Book Date.

Life
I did a little better reading this week, but still a long way to go. And I got a lot of planning done for my birthday week and bought some decorations. I still have 7-ish weeks before then, so there’s a lot more time to get everything together. I’ll post details when we get a little closer, and will be adding a wish list to my sidebar for anyone interested. I’m still a bit behind on my posts, but am doing better on getting them done close to on time.
Mom had a cardio appointment this week, and it went well. Her cardiologist is happy with where she is right now, so that’s a relief. Next week is her kidney appointment, I don’t know if that one will go as well, but we’ll see. After that it’s her primary doctor the following week. Then we have a break in appointments again (aside from her podiatrist, that’s every 6 weeks).
Other than that, I’ve been mostly sleeping this week. My pain levels have been a bit higher and I am constantly exhausted. I am sure this is contributing to my reading and blogging issues, but it is what it is right now.

Good luck for your mother’s appointment!
How’re you finding Yellowface? I remember finding it completely riveting (and unfortunately realistic, hah).
It’s great that your mom is doing well. It’s fun to plan for a birthday celebration. I hope the pain subsides this week.
Good luck on the appointment! I am glad she is doing well.
So many books!! Some Kind of Famous looks cute.
Pleased your mother is doing well with her medical appointments – I’m sorry you are struggling with pain levels:(. It always seems to unfair that when we are feeling grotty, we also cannot properly enjoy the things that make Life better. I hope the coming week is a kinder one.
I hope you like Yellowface and the Japanese cat novel. I enjoyed both!
Sorry your pain is being annoying, but glad your mom’s appt went ok.
Excited to hear more about your bday plans.
I hope your mother’s next appointment goes better than you expect, and I hope your mothers next recover some strength this week.
You have such an interesting mix of in progress reads.
Thanks for sharing your week
I have Battle of the Bookshops on my TBR, I am looking forward to see your thoughts
Good luck with all the appointments. I hope you feel better soon. You have such a nice variety of books here. Come see my week here. Happy reading!
That’s so wonderful you had some recent four star reads. I hope your appointments go well.
I really enjoyed What You Are Looking for is Right Here in the Library. I hope you do as well.
I hope all goes well with your mother. I’ve been running my mom around to different appointments, too. At least the waiting room gives us some time to read. Loved your post on all the books that have the same titles. That’s interesting! Have a good week.
