Do You Tarot?

I’ve been interested in other ways of seeing the world for a long time, and that includes other cultures, religions, and beliefs. I’ve cobbled together my own belief system from a combination of all of these things. And one thing that I do include in my daily life is tarot.

I am not an expert at reading tarot, truthfully I am very much a novice. But I can do a basic reading on a basic spread and I have a few tarot books to help me learn to interpret the cards better, as well as learn new spreads. I haven’t done a reading for anyone other than myself, and I think that’s probably the best for now.

While I am not an expert, I do have a preferred deck. I own two- one is a basic, traditional deck, the other is a a more decorative deck, the Light Seers tarot deck. I prefer the artwork on the Light Seers and tend to get more accurate reads from it. There are a few other decks that I would love to have as well, but for now I am content with what I have.

This year I added a tarot planner as well. It has a spread for the year, as well as spreads for each month, week and important astrological events. I chose the option with a single card for each day of the year as well (there is a 3 card per day version as well). It has been helpful in noting where there may be ups and downs in my life. Though I didn’t pay close enough attention to it at the beginning of the year (maybe then I wouldn’t have been so broadsided by events, since it told me my heart would be broken).

I feel like tarot has brought some clarity to my life and has helped to ease some of my anxiety.
