In My Life:
We are in the midst of a heat wave right now and under extreme heat advisories. Most people in Oregon, my family included, do not have air conditioners, so it’s actually a pretty dangerous situation for the vulnerable populations. We’re doing everything we can to keep the house cool, but as I’m writing this at 9:22pm on Saturday, the temperature is still 90F. We reached a high of 103F. And tomorrow it’s supposed to reach 113F. I tried to get all of my errands and outdoor chores completed today so that I don’t have to even go outside at all tomorrow.
Other than the heat, not a lot has been going on besides training.

That heat in PNW is crazy! I hope you are able to find some relief.
Wow that is hot for anywhere and I think especially Oregon. In North Carolina, you would think it would be hotter but we have been mostly 80s with a couple 90s in June. July and August will get hot – 90s – but I’ve lived here 5 years now and it almost never gets above 100, or below 20.

Stay safe in that heat!! It’s tough when you live in a place that isn’t prepared for that kind of heat. We might complain about the heat here in Ohio, but everyone has AC so it’s not bad.
That sounds like a brutal heat, especially without AC. When it gets super hot here, they tell people without AC to hang out at the library. Not a bad place to be stuck! Take care!
Here’s my SUNDAY POST this week. — Diana
