From the author of Love at First Set, a hilariously sexy enemies-to-lovers, second-chance rom-com about a reclusive former child star turned florist whose quiet life is turned upside down when her annoyingly hot ex (and former costar) shows up in town, with plans to write a tell-all memoir. Narrated by Rebecca Mozo! Former child star Anderson “Andy” Ducharme is hiding—has been for a long time, if she’s honest with herself, which she isn’t. When she suddenly…

I’m always a sucker for a good second chance romance, and I love the rivals to lovers trope as well. So this book was pretty much right up my alley and I loved it!

Andy has created a new life for herself, away from the spotlight and paparazzi. She makes beautiful flower arrangements and is content in her job at a (struggling) flower shop. She has friends she trusts and adores, plus her cat, so what else could she possibly need? The answer, to release the pain and resentment she holds inside and confront the unfinished business from the past.

Nikki made a lot of mistakes, huge mistakes, that cost her the most important thing in her life. In attempting to move on from that time in her life, she agrees to write about it, not realizing it will bring what she needs most back into her life.

Andy harbors a lot of resentment towards Nikki and everything that happened between them. But she doesn’t know everything that was happening at the time. She thought Nikki had cheated and used her, but did she? And can she trust Nikki now?

The attraction is still there, stronger than ever. Could the love be there too?

Jennifer Dugan is one of my favorite sapphic authors and she did not disappoint with this story. I loved the banter and disagreements between Andy and Nikki. And the fact that Nikki sending flowers to the people in her life (as a way to see Andy) helped the flower shop succeed. There really are two sides to every story.

And I enjoyed the narration by by Rebecca Mozo
