Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday~ Writers Remembered

I’ll be joining Jana at That Artsy Reader Girl for Top Ten Tuesday again this year.

This week’s topic is: Authors You Wish Were Still Writing Today. I decided to do a little tribute to authors that I enjoyed who have passed away.

Rachel Caine

Rachel was one of the first authors I interacted with on social media. I was devastated when she passed. 4/27/1962-11/1/2020

Johanna Lindsey

I found Johanna Lindsey in my teens and have been working my way through most of her catalog ever since. I especially love her Malory/Anderson series. 3/10/1952-10/27/2019

Huntley Fitzpatrick

I kept waiting for more books, especially about the Garretts, but then I discovered she had passed and that there would be no more stories. 10/27/1963-4/2022.

Sophie Kinsella

I’m still working my way through Sophie’s catalog and am currently in the middle of the Shopaholic series. I was stunned when her death was announced a few months ago. 12/12/1969-12/10/2025.

Francine Pascal

I tore through the Sweet Valley High books back in the 80s when they first came out. I finished them faster than the next books came out. 5/13/1932-7/28/2024

Carrie Fisher

While probably more known for her acting, which I also enjoyed, Carrie Fisher’s humor and personality came through her books as well. 10/21/1956-12/27/2016

Thich Nhat Hanh

I read about Buddhism a lot, and Thich Nhat Hanh has some of the best books. 10/11/1926-1/22/2022

Beverly Cleary

I think most of us grew up reading about Ralph S. Mouse and Ramona Quimby, Beverly Cleary was a major part of my childhood! 4/12/1916-3/5/2021

M.C. Beaton/Marion Chesney

I enjoyed the Six Sisters series. 6/10/1936-12/30/2019

E.B. White

Another childhood staple. 7/11/1899-10/1/1985
