Unboxing~ Nadine West~ June 2021
In the past, I’ve always watched people do these great unboxing posts and videos of their subscription boxes, and I’ve always wanted to do that. Both be in a position to get monthly subscription boxes, and to share the unboxings each month.
When selecting which boxes to subscribe to, it was important to me to find things that a) were things that I loved, and b) fit with my goals and values. I’m happy to say that the boxes I have chosen do just that.
I decided to start sharing the clothing and accessory options that I’ve received in my Nadine West package each month. Nadine West is a subscription clothing service, where stylists select and send you a selection of outfits and accessories each month. There are other services out there who do this as well, such as Stitch Fix, but I find the prices to be more reasonable through Nadine West. I also find the quality of clothing to be very good.
Nadine West is a small, woman-owned business, and promotes the environment through minimal packaging and using a reusable shipping bag, so that you receive and return your selections in the same bag. There are no styling fees, but a shipping charge of $9.78 is charged when your package ships. If you choose to keep anything in the package, the shipping price is deducted from the product total. If you don’t keep anything, you simply pay the shipping. I have now been bumped up to VIP, so I no longer have an initial shipping charge, whether I keep anything or not.
In June, I received two separate shipments from Nadine West, so I will be featuring both of them here today.
Here is the first shipment. It was not my favorite shipment so far, but I did get some good stuff. As usual, we’ll start with the items I did not keep.
I really liked the necklace on the left, but the price point was a little higher than I was comfortable with.
These earrings were cute, but one of them was already a little squished, so I was concerned that they wouldn’t hold up well.
Rounding out the accessories was this beanie that is just not my style.
I didn’t keep the dress (way too long and too big overall) or the romper (so not my style at all… I need straps at least)
Or this pair of fleece pants. It was almost identical to the pair I did keep, and I didn’t need two.
So here’s what I kept from the first shipment.
All the tops. Really, they have had such a great selection of tops for me.
A pair of dark grey fleece pants (almost identical to the green I didn’t keep).
A super cute bracelet and a super cute headband as well.
And now on to the second shipment.
Here are the things I did not keep from shipment 2. This was a better selection, and I really liked a few things that I didn’t keep, but I was trying to be mindful of my budget this time around.
I liked the color of this top, but I wasn’t a fan of the weird strap across the open shoulder section. And these pants were not flattering. The jeggings had fake front pockets and real back pockets and were just not right for me.
I didn’t keep any accessories this week, though I really liked them all. I won’t lie, I’m kind of regretting that I didn’t keep the necklace, but such is life.
And here are the items I kept…
The tops… we apparently had a blue theme going on.
I never in my life thought I would own (and love) a pair of red pants, but I do! And I am literally wearing the dress as I am finishing up this post.
So there you go, the 2 shipments I received in June. I have already received my first of 2 July shipments (the second should be arriving any day now), so expect another big post next month as well.
If you would like to try out Nadine West, they do have a referral program. Just click this link to sign up I will receive $10 towards my next shipment at no additional cost to you.
Each month I’ll be sharing what arrives in my Nadine West package, as well as my other subscription boxes (The Bookworm Box, The Sisterhood Box and CatLady Box).
