After doing monthly wrap-ups in 2025, I decided to go back to weekly wrap-ups for 2026. I’ll be linking up with The Sunday Post hosted by Caffeinated Reviewer, and Sunday Salon hosted by Readerbuzz. Life

We’ve made a few changes at home. Mom’s health is starting to deteriorate a bit and she is not able to do a lot of the household things that she has been doing, so I’ve taken over more of the household tasks. She also needs to use her cane and walker more. She’s also starting to accept that the 1-2 year prognosis may be correct. And we’re over a year into that. I think, realistically, we’re looking at about 18 months. At least that’s what I’m preparing myself for, I mean, I want it to be longer, but I’m a “hope for the best, prepare for the worst” type of person. And I’ve stopped actively looking for work, for now, because I don’t want to leave her on her own.

I had a productive week, though I feel like I didn’t get a lot of reading done. I did finish cleaning out and reorganizing my pantry, and I’ve started on cleaning up and organizing all of my personal care stuff. I’m eating regularly and much more healthy than I was (Saturday food prep is the key!). And I’ve been building on my mini workouts. I still have pain every day, but most of the time it’s more manageable, so I’m very happy about that.

This was another hot week, but the temps have come down for the weekend and should remain cooler through the next week. Now if we could only get some rain to help put out all of these fires.
